Women’s Degree College, Padampur has been established in the year 1995-96 with the selfless and dedicated service of local people to promote higher education in this periphery. The college is affiliated to Sambalpur University. The College has been started with the Sanctioned strength of 128. Then, it has got its permanent recognition on DT: 07.07.2004 and permanent affiliation on DT: 24.12.2005.

 

At the Prior stage the College has offered six optional pass Subject Education, Home Science, History, Sanskrit, Political science and psychology and Two Compulsory Subject English & MIL.

 

Firstly, Hons has been offered on Home Science Subject During the session 2003-04.Then, Education Hons has been offered during the session 2005-06.The Strength of the College has been increased from 128 to 192 during the session 2016-17.After increasing of Seats, the college has offered another four Hons Subject on English, History, Sanskrit and Political Science in the same period.

 

The College is gaining up its veneration and growing into a unique on by producing meritorious students who have secured ranks in the university and conquered a position in co-curricular activities which has been constituted in both state level and District level.

The college has been served by nine teaching faculties who are copiously versed in their respective subjects.
